I’ve seen an oddity in Christendom that maybe you can help me reconcile.🤔 I’ve seen professing Christians frustrated with the “Christian” experience while simultaneously rejecting the Holy Spirits activity in their life. My question is, “How can you live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit?” 🤔 And what help can a minister/pastor actually do for you if you are living in denial or openly rejecting the Holy Spirit’s influence in your life. The Christian experience should be a lifelong interaction with the Holy Spirit. This is the essence of the New Testament: The Holy Spirit working in you.
Three things come to mind that you might want to consider. One, Jesus Himself, commissioned the Holy Spirit to come and be with you and in you. (John 14:16-17). The expressed expectancy of the New Covenant is the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit. No man (Pastor, Prophet, Apostle) can replace the activity of the Holy Spirit by which you are SEALED for the day of redemption. (Eph. 4:30).
Two, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (II Cor. 3:17). Unlike Islam and other religions that require oppressive atmospheres to exist. The Holy Spirit brings freedom. Freedom from guilt! Freedom from shame! Freedom from rejection! Freedom from oppressive religious ideology!!! Freedom from accusation! Freedom from CONDEMNATION!!! Freedom from legalism! Whooo! Should I go on🧐? Religion does not require freedom to operate. It requires subjugation! But the Holy Spirit brings freedom! “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” (Rom. 8:1-2). 😃 Wow! Take that “religious spirits” 🤓.
Who's Your Daddy?
Three, The Holy Spirit brings identity. “For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” (Rom. 8:15-16). This is critical….🧐 you did not receive a spirit of slavery🤔 nor of fear… but you have received a Spirit of adoption that causes you to cry out “Daddy”. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. No amount of teaching can break an orphan spirit off of a people, but the Holy Spirit can! The Holy Spirit brings you identity. Halalujah! Glory to God!
Jesus said, “Receive ye the Holy Spirit!” (Jn. 20:22).
This is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
