There is a place in God’s presence that is found through humility and brokenness.

God draws near to the heart that recognizes, “I need You.”

🔥

Isaiah 57:15 says:

“…I dwell… with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit…”

🔥

And Psalm 34:18 declares:

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart…”

Our brokenness does not push God away—it can become the very place where we encounter Him most deeply.

When we lost our son Cameron, it was in that time of loss that I experienced God in ways I never had. He showed so much compassion and care. I would have to say I began to know Him as a true Father. Every-time I fell apart, the Lord would pick me up and put me back together. ♥️

We need to stop trying to be strong in our own strength…

and we lay down our pride…and surrender our hearts…

And we cry out, “Lord, I need You!”— He draws near. Every time.

🔥 Humility says, “I cannot do this without You.”

🔥 Brokenness says, “Lord, I surrender everything to You.” Those two are key in experiencing His presence.

The presence of God is not reserved for the perfect. It is experienced by those who come with an open, surrendered, and contrite heart.

♥️

Come humbly. Come broken. Come surrendered. You will discover that He is near.

♥️

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” — James 4:8 KJV, that is a truth. He will be there to carry you thru the hard times. His presence will fill you, Hid glory surround you. There is nothing like being completely laid down at His feet.

"Lord, please show those reading this that you are there ready to help us. That when we humble ourselves, Your presence will come and surround us. Help us to reach for You when we are broken. You always put the pieces back together. Thank you! In Jesus name! Amen!
