So you have realized there are bondages in your life. You have received deliverance and now, how do you stay free. It is very important that you do not open any doors that allowed the strongholds in the first place. I believe it is something that is necessary for a continued walk in victory. Satan would love nothing better than to destroy you. So, keeping those doors closed is a must.
You will need to remain filled with the Holy Spirit. Stay close to Jesus & the Father. Fellowship with believers that encourage you. Do not hang with people who have open doors. People who have no conviction and no moral compass for the Holy Spirit you’re gonna want to stay in the presence of the Lord.
These things will keep you free from demonic influence.
If you do fall, repent quickly, ask for forgiveness, and get up and continue your walk. God wants you to be victorious and he is on your side. There are people who teach you do not need to repent any after your first experience where you were saved and received Jesus into your heart. Those people do not function in deliverance. Repentance is key to closing open doors to the demonic realm. Repentance sets you up to walk in all God has for his children. Repentance is good for you.
Now that you have experience deliverance can’t you feel the freedom? The house is clean. The floors are swept. Now keep it full of the Lord. It is in Him that you will have continued freedom. The Bible states that once the house is cleaned, the demons will return to see if the house is empty again so that they may come in. I’ll post that scripture here below but that is why it’s important to repent often and to keep yourself full of Jesus.
43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ When it returns, it finds the house empty, swept clean, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there, so the last state of that person is worse than the first.” Matt. 12:43-45
Let me pray over you, “Father, I thank you for the freedom that my friends have experienced. I think you for the strongholds that you have broken in their lives. I thank you for shutting doors that they have opened and that you will keep them sealed with the blood of Jesus. I thank you Lord, that you have made them a victor and not a victim and I ask you God right now that you keep them close in your presence that they may remain free for the rest of their days. In Jesus name amen.”
