“I Don’t Know How!”

- Pastor Belinda🌷- April 4, 2024

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.” James 1:5-6

I, like many of you, have had the Lord ask you to do something that you did not have the “wisdom” to do.

Several years ago we had experienced revival/outpouring in our church. Many young people began to seek God and found Him! It was an awesome time in the Lord. There were many healings, salvations, miracles, & deliverances. God was “in the house!”

The young people were on fire for God including our sons. Our youngest son came to me and asked if he could homeschool. He was tired of hearing the cursing that filled their days at public school. My opinion was “you need to go and be a light to others”. As I thought this, God had another idea. God spoke to me, He said “start a school for the young people. Do not send them out until they have been trained up within the camp”. As I was preparing to let our son homeschool, numerous other young people in our church were wanting to do the same. God began to talk to me about starting a Christian Academy. I said to Him “God! I don’t know how to do that!” I had been homeschooled myself, on the road doing ministry with my family. I knew how to do that, but not a whole Christian academy! You know what His reply was “Good, then I will get all the credit!” Well, God helped me, it was all Him! We started a Christian Academy. We thought we were going to have about 15 young people, we started with 32! That was all we could accommodate. The second-year we (our church) purchased another property solely for the school. That increased our capacity to 70, which filled up and we had a waiting list with more on it. God had ALL the glory because I did not have the “wisdom” of how to do it! The school was a blessing to the young people. We had K-12 and it was a God thing. We had classes on spiritual living, worship, and we would even have 1/2 credits available for those who chose to go to the mission field and serve for a time.

When God tells you he wants you to do something, trust him. He will give you the wisdom and every tool you need to make it happen. Timing is key, timing is so important. Pray and listen to the Lord. He won’t leave you clueless. He will equip you, and He will send you out at His time.

The school we started is still going to this day. When God does things, He does them well.

Blessing to you,

Pastor Belinda 🌷
