“The sower sows the word.” Mark 4:14
It is hard to reap where nothing has been sown. We place emphasis on hearing the word of the Lord. It is equally important to speak out the word that you have heard. When you speak out the word of the Lord it is like seed that God can work with. It is a life giving force when that seed is released out into the atmosphere it becomes a potential tree or plant that bears fruit that can feed a household. When you look at the seed you can’t see the tree that it will become but that tree is in there. When you release it into the soil of someone’s spirit it has life changing possibilities. The Apostle Paul said, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” 1 Cor. 3:6. You don’t always get to see the full outcome of what has been planted, but the process always begins with the seed. Sometimes all it takes for healing to take place is to speak out the word of the Lord. As the caretaker of the LORD’S garden (Gen. 2:15) it is our job to plant seed and to water what has been sown. But God causes it to grow. Give God something to work with. Speak it out, sow seed into your prodigals so God will have seed to work with. Just sayin’.
