Walking in Unity Part 6

“Can two people walk together unless they have agreed to meet?” — Amos 3:3 (NASB)

Agreement with God is foundational. Unity begins when our hearts surrender to His will and His Word. When we walk in agreement with Him, we also learn to walk in love and unity with others.

Walking in unity requires us to lay down all of our self ambitions. You must put on the clothing of humility to allow the Lord to work thru you. No credit belongs to us, we are just His tools! It can’t be MY ministry, followed by self titles. When we take credit you will see the anointing slowly cease. It’s God all the way. I refer to it as “putting your hand to the ark” 2 Samual 6:6-7 6 And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. 7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

Be willing to be used by God. Be humble when He uses you, and never take credit for the work of the Lord.

We also need unity when walking together as a body. Prefer your companion. Pray for their success. I have experienced this in my husband. As we co-pastor, and co-minister I have watched Him lift me up and be such a support to me bringing unity in our union. I think he is the perfect example of how to function in unity. We have to learn to “play well with others”. Something we should have learnt on the playground as a child.

It’s not about us, it’s all about Him and the Kingdom!

May God bring unity to those who labor for Him,
