“And they are to make a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them.” Exo. 25:8
Yahweh (יְהוָֹה YHWH) commissioned a Tabernacle (mishkan) to be built for the specific purpose of dwelling among His people. The tabernacle was type and shadow of what was to come. “They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, “See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.” Heb. 8:5.
This is a map of the Spirit life that is in Christ Jesus. The first and largest area that most true Christians find themselves in is the outer court. It is the place of beginnings with sacrifice and service. It introduces us to the altar of holocaust (burnt offering) 🔥where one becomes a living sacrifice. You cannot bypass this court to get to the inner sanctuary… but this isn’t your final destination either.🤔
The second is the Holy Place, the inner sanctuary. This place host the altar of incense, the golden candlestick that burns continually, and the table of shewbread. This is the place of higher ministry, identity, and deeper fellowship. The golden candlestick brings identity to the Church and to those who minister here. This is where you learn to value the oil and become a keeper of the flame. The table of showbread is where we learn to spread the table of the LORD with the bread of presence. The art of true worship is perfected here. The golden altar of incense is truly the closest ministry to the mercy seat. It is the place where incense rises night and day, day and night.🔥 Many that serve here are completely fulfilled and some choose to never leave. But there is more.🤔
The third chamber is the Holy of Holies! The third heaven. The place of meeting. The mercy seat. To even access here one must have burning incense from the golden altar. This is the place of absorption. Where you lose your identity and all things become God. You no longer need identity, you simply say, “I am my beloved’s and He is mine.” All rivers flow into Him. He becomes your all in all. Your supply, your justification, your righteousness, your defender. If you need identity, it will prevent you from being here. If you need external validation you’re to soulish to dwell in this place.
“More than that, I count all things as loss compared to the surpassing excellence of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” Phil. 3:8.
Let us come into agreement… “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.” John 17:20-24. We agree!
