“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27
I love 1 John. It reads like an old man wrote it… no build up, no preamble, just dives in with pure meat on kingdom living and shifts from thought to thought with no Segway like a prophet instead of a theologian.🤔 Written in love without mincing words, perfect for the +55 crowd. In the passage above he lays out the simplicity of the kingdom life. That God by the Holy Spirit was to dwell in you and that He (the Holy Spirit) was to teach you.🧐 This is not reckless theology, this is the crux of Christianity, God dwelling in you (Emanuel). Theology is a drowning pool, where as the anointing is living water. Christ IN YOU the hope of glory. God explaining Himself from within, not an external pursuit.
If the passage above does not define the Christian experience for you, then maybe you're doing it wrong 🤔. Mmmm. Maybe a life of anxiety, depression, and frustration wasn’t what He intended after all. Maybe duplicity and carnality do not represent Him.
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16:13.
Without the Holy Spirit you are reliant solely on man’s instruction (not what God intended). God intended to instruct you from within. The absence of this is why we have denomination’s safeguarding us like sheep in a pen. But the true shepherd will lead you out to pasture.🤔 Green pastures and still waters. Pastor Rusty
