“And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only.” Mark 9:7-8

Jesus on the Mount of transfiguration was possibly the most identity affirming experience during Christ’s in the Gospels. The Father reaffirmed who the Son was before witnesses. Peter exclaimed, “It is good we be here, Lord!”, as Moses and Elijah appeared before them ministering to Jesus. Peter wanted to solemnize the experience by building a tabernacle for each of them… but then God spoke, “This is my beloved son listen to Him.” Then they saw Jesus only.

For more than forty years the church has been seeded with identity theology… knowing who you are in Christ. A necessary teaching that I am in agreement with, but it hasn’t accomplished the desired effect it is intended to address… killing unbelief.🤔 The power of knowing who you are in Him is predicated on knowing who He is in you. Knowing your own self identity can only be helpful by knowing who He is. Like Paul exclaimed, “I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death.” Phil. 3:10. You cannot come into the true authority of identity without truly understanding the identity of Christ. Like the Father said, “This is my beloved Son, listen to Him.” Knowing Moses and understanding the prophets does not bring you into the authority of the believer like understanding who Christ is. Your authority cannot be realized by simply understanding your identity without understanding His identity. It’s hard to believe in the power working in you with out believing in the power that is in Christ.

“And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.” Acts 3:16.

There will be a resurrection of signs and wonders in this last days move of God. While half the church is busy looking for the Antichrist, Some will look for The Christ and will step into a season of power and the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God will be manifest in power! (I Cor. 4:20).
