“He mocks the mockers,
but gives grace to the humble.” Prov. 3:34 BSB
James 4:6 is quoting Proverbs 3:34 when it says, “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” And again in 1Peter 5:5, “Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” I believe there is a message in here… I’m sensing a theme.🧐 In II Chronicles 7:14, God gives the King of Israel a contract… a contract with a nation.📄 “If My people who are called by My name humble (kana) themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” This is a “Contract for America”. This is promise with condition! Humility puts you on a frequency with grace. It aligns creation with the Creator. Kana along with faith is the greatest trait we are allowed to bring to the table. As I read this contract it, I see it is possibly the greatest mandate for this season. No smoke and mirrors or religious posturing, just terms of an agreement with heaven.🤔 Pastor Rusty
