Airborne Training

Dutch Sheets was speaking on his GH15 pod cast this week for on “Air Superiority”. I thought it might be nice to rerelease back into the wild this thought from 2 years ago.🤔

Airborne Training – Pastor Rusty – March 8, 2024

“Now when the dragon realized that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. But the woman was given the two wings of a giant eagle so that she could fly out into the wilderness, to the place God prepared for her, where she is taken care of, away from the presence of the serpent, for a time, times, and half a time.” Rev. 12:13-14.

Of all the things in God’s mighty arsenal it might seem like a lackluster response from God that when “the woman arrayed as the sun” (Rev. 12:1) is being attacked by the dragon, God simply gives her wings to escape. He didn’t destroy the dragon. He simply gave her (the woman) wings. Understanding God’s master plan of spiritual warfare might be frustrating to the carnal. But getting His people airborne is His plan of defense. We function way to much on the terrestrial. God’s wanting to take over the aerial war. He’s introducing His own airborne training through prophetic instruction. All military Special Forces have to take airborne training. Upon completion of Airborne training all special forces wear the trademark “silver wings” on their chest. God is initiating His own version of Airborne school through your prayer life. If you don’t have one, get one. Two, get connected with other prophetic prayer warriors. Three, you might have changed your wake-up times to accomplish this. Isaiah 40:31 becomes the Word of the Lord for this training, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” It’s time to get your “silver wings”. We treat mounting up with eagle wings as metaphoric, but in the Spirit, it takes on a more literal sense. You need to learn how to get elevated in the spirit, high above the ground warfare. You need an aerial view of the situation you’re facing. It won’t seem so insurmountable once you get airborne. Let us pray.

“Father of light, radically revolutionize our lethargic prayer life. Cause us to make decree from the heaven downward not just petitions from the earth upward. Move us out of reactionary prayer lives. Enroll us in airborne school. Promote us with silver wings on our chest. In Jesus name.”
