“I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.” SOS 2:1
When reading this passage it’s important to note the The bride is speaking of herself.🤔 In the ebb and flow of the Song of Solomon there are two primary characters, the beloved and her lover. In this particular verse she is speaking of herself. I know historically we have addressed Jesus as the lily of the valley and that He is the Rose of Sharon. But in fact She is the Lily of the Valley and She is the Rose 🌹 of Sharon. You ask, “Why is this relevant?” Because the Church world would always have us waiting at the altar as a bride’s maid and never a bride. In this season I see the Lord showing tremendous affection for what is His. He is correcting the miss calibration of who you are to Him. You are His bride and you belong to Him. “THE BRIDE BELONGS TO BRIDEGROOM, The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.” John 3:29. Stop looking at the Church as an institution and see her as the “betrothed.”👰🏽♀️
“She has the ability to breath in the atmosphere of the throne room and exhale it upon the people.”- Chuck Davis.
This is a supernatural transaction that His beloved is capable of doing. So NO, it is not blasphemous to take a moniker that has been attributed to Christ, and PROPERLY attribute it to the bride.👰🏽♀️🥀🪷❤️🔥
