Being Filled daily with the Holy Spirit

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” — Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)
To be filled with the Holy Spirit is not a one-time experience, but a continual surrender to God’s presence within us. The Spirit empowers us to live beyond our own strength, guiding, comforting, teaching, and convicting us when we stray. Without the Spirit’s filling, our Christian walk becomes dry and powerless. But when we are filled, our hearts overflow with love, peace, and boldness to do God’s will. Just as a lamp must be filled with oil to give light, so our lives must be filled with the Holy Spirit to shine for Christ. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23. This reveals the very character of Jesus in us.
Each day, we can ask God to fill us anew, laying down our own will so that His Spirit might flow freely through us. The Holy Spirit is the comforter that Jesus promised would come.
It is important that we fill ourselves with the Holy Spirit daily. Try this when you are having a bad day, just stop and pray in tongues for a few minutes. Then watch as darkness flees and comfort comes to your spirit. It’s what Jesus sent for you!
Let me pray for you. Jesus, I ask that you flood those reading this with the Holy Spirit. Let them feel the comfort that the Holy Spirit brings. I ask in Jesus name,Amen!
