Christ In You

“I became its servant by the commission God gave me to fully proclaim to you the word of God, the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to His saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Col. 1:25-27 BSB

This is an interesting passage. It reveals the simplicity of the mystery that had been hidden through the ages. The fact that it had been hidden until the time of its’ revealing shows that the mystery itself predated the law. What does that mean? It means the law was never a path to salvation. The law simply revealed the need for said salvation. “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” Gal. 3:24.🤔 The law wasn’t built to make you righteous, but rather was built to reveal your need for righteousness. The mystery was in place from creation… it just wasn’t revealed till the time of Christ. Jesus was always the way… (He was simply veiled)…before the law, during the law, and now after the law. The law was never a way… it was simply the schoolmaster till the time of the revealing of the mystery. The law could not get you from earth to heaven … that was always JESUS! He is the important part of the equation of the mystery. But he alone is not the mystery.🤔🧐🤔 No, ChRIST IN YOU is the mystery! Not the idea of Christ, not the theology of Christ, but the reality of Christ in you. Not Christ in the 🌎 world, not Christ in the Ekklesia, not Christ in the cosmos… But Christ in you! The reality of all legitimate Christianity is found in this mystery… Christ in you is the hope of glory! This is the only “hope” of glory, Christ in you. So, lay aside religion and futile (fruitless) philosophy, and ideas of good works and accept the true and living savior into your heart, mind, and soul. Quit struggling and resisting His Spirit in your life. His life inside of you is the culmination of the mystery of the ages. Lay down all your efforts, struggles, and weariness and let Christ in. When you have Christ in you, you WILL have the hope of GLORY! Hallelujah! In Jesus name! Pastor Rusty.
