David and an ephod

And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. 2 Samuel 6:14

Once when we were first experiencing the mighty presence of God in our church, during worship I had a vision. I was praying on the floor at church and all of a sudden I saw a pool, like a large swimming pool. The water in it was glistening like diamonds. As I looked up from the pool of water I saw Jesus walking toward me. He walked up to me and beside him was a man in a white rob. Jesus turned as he introduced the man to me. The man was holding a linen ephod that was folded in his hands. He stretched his hands out to me handing me the folded ephod. He said “this is for you to wear” as he handed it to me. I reached and received it. I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that the man I met was David. I knew in my spirit who he was the minute Jesus brought him to me. The pool of glistening water was what we have stepped into in worship. It began then and has continued to this day. There are deeper waters available for us if we will take the linen ephod, wear it and venture out into new waters. Our depth is how far we are willing to let Jesus take us. There is so much more that we have not tasted! As children we like to hold on to the side of the swimming pool because he doesn’t know how to swim. Let go of the sides and let the Holy Spirit teach you how to swim!
