Demonic influences/satanic arguments

Pastor Rusty - Nov. 28th, 2023

“Now the serpent was more shrewd than any of the wild animals that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Is it really true that God said, ‘You must not eat from any tree of the orchard’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit from the trees of the orchard; but concerning the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the orchard God said, ‘You must not eat from it, and you must not touch it, or else you will die.’” The serpent said to the woman, “Surely you will not die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.” Gen. 3:1-5

It’s important to note that this was indeed a paradise but it was not heaven. Even in idyllic conditions there was still a serpent in their garden. Demonic influences are not in short supply and can be seen in modern culture everywhere. Many times believers are unable to make headway with marital chaos or family crisis because of their inability to discern demonic influences in their situation. Many churches and Christian ministries fail to recognize demonic activity in the divisive atmosphere they are dealing with. Along with demonic activity comes satanic argument that one must apply new age reasoning to the situation and try to restate or reimagine what God has said. “You get to be your own gods and determine what’s good and evil.” We buy into this reasoning time and again procuring the same downward spiral time and again. Jesus said, “You will know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will make you free.” You can break cycles of demonic influence in and around your life, but first you must recognize that you do not war with flesh and blood, but with powers, and principalities, and spiritual wickedness in high places, and against rulers of darkness. Demonic activity is tiered and layered with different levels of authority. That requires different levels of authority to address them. He has given us power over ALL the power of the enemy. Do you have that power? If you do then start exercising it in Jesus name. Let us pray. “Father of light, light us up with the Holy Spirit. Expose the unfruitful works of darkness. Light up the darkness with the fire of God. In Jesus name! Amen!” Pastor Rusty
