The Christ was born! Many find conspiracy in why Dec. 25 was chosen so long ago as the day the world celebrates the birth of Christ. Many argue it wasn’t the day on which He was born. My attitude is, “It’s as good a day as any.” Since we don’t know🧐 let’s celebrate it anyway. What are we celebrating? That Christ was born! It’s not so much as when as much as He “WAS”! The Son of God was introduced to us as an infant born in a stable and laid in a manger. What an absolute humble beginning. The greatest gift 🎁 came into the world in a most vulnerable fashion. It is both elegant and necessary. The Word makes this declaration, “Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me.” Heb. 10:5. He was always going to come into the world as an infant coming through the birth canal. Born an infant not a man. When God saw the design of King Harrod against the child He simply sent an angel to speak to Joseph in a dream and Joseph moved his young family to Egypt.🤔 God still moves quietly behind the scenes, moving and shaking, causing people to respond to His whisper, not His shout. The miraculous of God is around us constantly, we simply have not trained ourselves to see it. Like the priest in the first Noel, constantly looking for the golden spoon and not the wooden ladle, we’re still standing in the temple while the shepherds gathered at a stable. This Christmas, don’t miss the angels that come into your life in human form. Open your heart to God’s love and allow decency, dignity, and mercy rule the day.
