Faith When It Looks Hopeless 💥- Pastor Belinda - Nov. 17, 2025

There are moments in our lives when everything in the natural tells us, “It’s over.”

The situation seems sealed. The door looks closed. The report sounds final.

Yet throughout Scripture, God repeatedly steps into situations that look hopeless—and reveals that with Him, hope is never lost.

💥Faith Sees the Invisible, Not the Impossible💥

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) tells us:“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”Faith is not denial. It’s not pretending you don’t see the mountain.Faith is choosing to believe that God is greater than the mountain.

I have shared in the past how I watched my dad go to minister with a broken ankle. He and been on a job site and jumped up and came down on a 2X4 turning his ankle and hearing the bones breaking. When he got home it was so swollen he had to have help removing his boot. We prayed for healing, it was still so painful as we drive to the meeting. When we arrived at the tent revival he said “ how can I go out there and preach faith with this?” But faith and determination took over! So instead of canceling his meeting he jumps up and goes outside of our bus. As we watched he took off trying to walk down the ally we were parked in,. His ankle bones popping! He said Satan told him, “what are you gonna do when you get down there to the end and can’t make it back?” My dad said “what are you gonna do when I make it!” He made it to the end! He turned and walked faster! By the time he reached us his ankle was completely healed! No limp, no lasting problem! Healed completely by FAITH! He preached with a healed ankle! Why? He had faith that in-spite of what it looked like, he believed in a God that can! Do you serve a God that can?

When Abraham was told he would be the father of many nations, everything around him said it was impossible. Yet Scripture says he “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief” (Romans 4:20 KJV). Abraham had no evidence except the Word of God—and that was enough. My dad had no evidence except the word of God and he was standing on it!

So it is with you.

What you see may say “hopeless,” but what God has spoken says “possible.”

God Often Moves When the Situation Is Beyond Human Strength. Sometimes God waits until it looks impossible so that no one but Him can get the glory! No doctor, no one but God!

When Lazarus died, Mary and Martha said, “Lord, if thou hadst been here…” (John 11:21).

To them, the situation was finished—four days dead.

But Jesus said: “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” John 11:40 (KJV) I am ready to see His glory!

Your situation may feel like it’s “four days dead,” but Jesus specializes in resurrections, not just repairs.

Where you see a tomb, God sees a testimony! 💥

- Faith Stands Firm Even When the Storm Rages -

When Peter stepped out of the boat, the wind and waves didn’t stop. In fact, they kept crashing. But as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked on what should have drowned him.

Your storm may still be blowing.

The winds may still be loud.

But your faith does not rest in calm seas—your faith rests in the One who walks on water.

Faith is not the absence of storms; it is the presence of Jesus in the storm.

When You Can’t See a Way—God Still Has One

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV) says: “I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Notice the words “even” and “in.” Not after the wilderness. Not around the wilderness. In the wilderness.

Even in the driest places of your life—your desert of fear, loss, sickness, or uncertainty

God says He will make a way.

Not might.

Not could.

Will.

💥Your Faith Is a Seed, Not a Feeling 💥

Faith doesn’t always feel strong. Faith isn’t loud.

Faith doesn’t always shout.

Sometimes faith is a whisper:

“Lord, I’m hurting… but I trust You.”

Sometimes faith is simply showing up, reading the Word, praying again, hoping again, breathing through tears.

Jesus said faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. Not because the seed is powerful—

but because the God who honors it is powerful!💥

Let me pray with you,

Father, when everything around me looks hopeless,

When I can’t see the outcome,

When my heart feels weak—

Teach me to trust You.

Let my faith stand on Your promises, Not my feelings,

Not my circumstances.

You are the God who brings life to dead places,

Light to dark places,

And hope to hopeless places.

I choose to believe You.

I choose to trust You.

And I place my situation in Your hands—

because nothing is impossible with You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
