“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”Romans 5:5 (KJV)

Your heart is a dwelling place God fills with His love. As you walk thru transformation from the old man to the new man God will remove the crusted over areas of your heart. A new soft red heart will take its place. You will find things you had no love for before are now right there in your heart bringing you joy! I personally experienced this several years ago. I had grown hard and cold inside. When God started removing the old me I began to realize things that I did not find joy in began to bring me happiness!

The light of God’s love always wins! We just have to be willing to let him transform us.

This love is not fragile emotion; it is divine presence. Love is the evidence that God lives inside you.

Darkness cannot coexist with true light, and demons cannot dwell where love rules. Fear thrives in empty places, but love occupies space. Bitterness opens doors to demonic habitation, but love shuts them. When God pours His love into your heart, He is not just comforting you—He is fortifying you. His love becomes the atmosphere of your inner life. When you choose forgiveness over offense, mercy over anger, and compassion over judgment, you are letting the house stay filled. No room for darkness.

Let’s look at the Greek in this verse. In the Greek, the word for love is agápē (Strong’s G26) — meaning God’s self-giving, unconditional, covenant love. This is not human affection; it is divine love that comes from God Himself.

The phrase “shed abroad” in this verse comes from the Greek word ekchéō (G1632), which means to pour out fully, to overflow, to flood. God does not sprinkle His love into us — He pours it out until it fills the house.

The word “hearts” is kardía (G2588) — meaning the inner man, the seat of thoughts, will, and emotions. In other words, God fills the deepest rooms of your being with His love, not just your feelings.

Fill the house daily with prayer, Scripture, and obedience, and love will remain the ruling spirit.

Let’s pray, Lord, thank You for pouring Your love into my heart by the Holy Spirit. Clean every room of my soul and fill it with Your presence. Let love rule where fear once lived, and peace remain where chaos once stood. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
