“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.” Gen. 22:14.

To this day the King James Bible seems to stand alone in its rendering of this passage, (Although a few other translations do actually come to the same conclusion). All other translations declare that in the mount the Lord will provide.🤔 Why the discrepancy? Why aren’t they all on the same page? That in itself is a mystery?

The mount that is in reference is Moriah. The same mount that will become the Temple Mount.🧐 But here in this passage a thousand years before there was a temple Abraham declares the place to be Jehovajireh. Which became one of the sacred names of God. It is said that Jehovajireh means the “LORD will provide”. But most likely the most accurate translation is “the LORD Sees”. By extension to mean the LORD will see to it. Hence the LORD will provide. The early Jewish take was that in this mount that the “LORD will appear” not only that God will see but rather “God is seen”. Wow! Therefore “God will provide” would be the Implied translation. What I can tell you is God is kissing the phrase “in the mount of the Lord it will be seen”. God is on the move in these here hills. And in the mount of the LORD “it will be seen!”

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills

from whence comes my help?

My help comes from the Lord,

Who made heaven and earth. “ Psa. 121:1-2
