“But when I thought how to understand this,

it seemed to me a wearisome task,

Until I went into the sanctuary of God;

then I discerned their end.” Psa. 73:16-17

This is one of the psalms written by Asaph. He’s one of the chief musicians serving in the tabernacle of David during the time of David’s reign. Birthed out of this experience came these songs (psalms), 12 of which were preserved in scripture… psalm 50 and psalms 73-84 are attributed to Asaph.🤔 In this particular psalm he is expressing a personal dilemma that he is experiencing. When he didn’t understand why things were the way they were he came into the sanctuary. In that moment came understanding concerning his quandary. Without going into great detail concerning the Tabernacle of David, I would simply like to point out that the Mishkan of David was a place of God’s presence where the people of God were exposed to The Ark of the Covenant. 🤔 hmmm! Selah. Coming into the sanctuary was a mind altering experience because of God’s presence. This of course was under the Old Covenant, but if the Old afforded this type of encounter how much more under the New.🤔

I do not trust a version of Christianity that functions solely from “their” ability to interpret the Bible without coming into His manifest presence. Your thought process needs to be altered by His presence. Your reasoning needs to be “seeded” by the influence of the Holy Spirit in the sanctuary. The corporate experience (Church) ought to be influenced by the manifest presence of God. If your Sunday morning service isn’t an encounter which God you're missing the point of your gathering.🤔 It ought to be a life altering experience, one that changes your mind (metanoia).🧐 Coming into the sanctuary of His presence alters the way you think! Coming into the sanctuary (מִקְדָּשׁ miqdash) is entering into a Holy place. Mmmm!🤔 Selah! Think about it. 🤔
