🇺🇸 ONE NATION UNDER GOD – THEN & NOW

A nation is only as strong as its surrender to God. What God began in humility and dependence must be sustained by repentance and return.

The Bible says:

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…” — Psalm 33:12

America did not begin as a perfect nation—but as a dependent nation.

From early revivals to moments of national crisis, God has responded when His people cried out.

We are not sustained by politics, power, or prosperity—

We are sustained by the presence of God.

A FOUNDATION LAID IN FAITH

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it…” — Psalm 127:1

The early days of America were marked by prayer, repentance, and revival.

* Churches were central to community life

* Public leaders called for national prayer and fasting

* The Great Awakening stirred hearts toward God

If you have not seen the new movie “A Great Awakening” by Sight and Sound you need to see it. Men like George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, and John Wesley, preached repentance and new birth.

God honored humility then—He will honor it now.

WHEN A NATION FORGETS GOD

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34

“Then my people would not hearken to my voice…” — Psalm 81:11

God has never blessed sin. Satan likes to make you think he is giving you fun, love, and money, anything your flesh may want. But what comes from Satan is fleeting. It looks appealing until the truth is reviled and all you really got were ashes.

THE CALL TO RETURN TO OUR ROOTS!

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.— 2 Chronicles 7:14

There’s the key 🔑. Repentance and turning from our sin brings healing.

The rededication of our nation on May 17th was not a small thing. God is realigning or nation.

God’s promises says:

* “I will hear…”

* “I will forgive…”

* “I will heal…”

ONE LIFE CAN SHIFT A NATION

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” — 2 Chronicles 16:9

We celebrate 250 years as a nation🇺🇸, but the question is not where we’ve been… it’s where are we going?

The turn around needs to begin with us. I challenge you to start now. Draw closer to God than you ever have. Listen to His voice. Seek his face. Just like George Whitefield you can be the match that starts the fire! You can cause an “awakening!”
