I was driving from Hollister to Branson Hills when my truck dinged and gave notice that I had an “Open Door”. So drove from Hollister to the house with the sign on that I had an open door. I began to pray over every Church and religious institution that I passed with the assurance that a door was open, and I took advantage of it. If you are accustomed to thinking laterally as a minister you assume that an open door is an opportunity to minister. But if you think vertically an open door means there is an open door in the heavens. Take advantage of it.
“After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” Rev. 4:1 ESV
There are three key takeaways from this passage:
1. There is an open door in the heavenlies. We have a unique atmosphere here in Branson Mo. It is due to an open heaven that prayer warriors in this region have been taking advantage of for decades. We get to stand on the shoulders of eagles that have participated in an “open heaven” atmosphere long before our arrival. Take FULL advantage of it!
2. There is a changing voice of God in this season. In chapter one His voice is introduced as the sound of a trumpet and then as the sound of many waters. As your children matured you constantly adjusted and changed the way you spoke with them… from baby talk, to reasoning, to speaking as an adult. So it is with the Lord, as the seasons change, a more authoritative sound is coming from the Lord, even more so as the day of His appearing is approaching. Are you able to adapt to this sound of the blasting of a trumpet? As you adjust from the lamb to the Lion of Judah, ask yourself, “Can you hear the Lion roar?”
3. “Come up Here!” He is calling the prophets to come up! He is calling us to higher elevations. He is going to show you what’s coming! Pray for clear revelation in the days to come.
“I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” Rev. 3:8.
”Father, give us ears to here! Cause us the take advantage of an OPEN DOOR! Elevate us into the heavenly realm to have an eagle’s view! In JESUS name! Amen!” Pastor Rusty
