"Evil spirit"

1 Samuel 18:10 The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully on Saul.

It’s the removal of the presence of God that opens the door to Ra’ah. This can happen to anyone, but he really targets people who have carried a call and an anointing. He waits, he lies, he devours thru defeat.

I see this tormenting spirit. He is one I have seen before on a man of God. This spirit is cunning, it lingers to point out every short coming, every missed opportunity. He waits for you to yield to the thoughts he puts in your head and in those thoughts he spins a web of lies, and disbeliefs.

He smothers ideas, visions, and dreams. Any thoughts of over coming is met by this spirit of doubt.

Defeat is the whole plan. If you yield to defeat in your ministry or anything God has called you to then you are opening up to this spirit.

The Ra-ah will take a man and calmly wait in a chair beside his bed. He waits for disappointment to over come you. Self-pity walks right beside this spirit hand in hand. You feel defeated so you automatically feel self pity because things haven’t worked out like you planed. This spirit that I call “Ra-ah” will consume a person with torment. It can be overcome if met with repentance, forgiveness, and a right heart. You don’t have to be eaten by this spirit. There is hope. Turn like David when he sinned and ask for forgiveness. If you keep it close to your breast and do not deal with it, it will eat you spiritually until it finally consumes your life.

David responded to the intrusion of sin into his life by embracing God. Saul responded by embracing the sin.

Address this. Turn as David did. Repent, and be release.
