The marital bed 🛏️

Pastor Rusty - Jan. 5th, 2024

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” Heb. 13:4

Can your ministry survive if your marriage doesn’t? This is a question that every vibrant Christian needs to ask.🤔 Even if you aren’t married. The marital covenant is second only to the covenant of the New Covenant in Christ. But Christ likens His relation to the Church to the marital covenant in Ephesians 5. Consider the marital covenant and consider what you think is the singular most important ingredient in that covenant. Most would probably say love.❤️ Love carries with it traits that do not consist of emotions or feelings🧐. Loyalty, faithfulness and honesty to name a few. When there is a breakdown of these I don’t think that your feelings no longer qualify as love. Take special care of your marriage in this season don’t let it become trashed with deception. The first covenant God created was the marital covenant. Gen. 2:22-24. Adam and Eve had a paradise, they drank from the same stream (this is important for unity), no fig leaves (nothing hid), transparency in the marriage (no deception), and by all means don’t listen to the reasoning of a serpent. He’ll promise glory but will only deliver death. Honor your marriage and protect your marital bed. Remove spirits of fantasy and sexual immorality from your marital bed and let the Lord do a deep cleanse in your marriage. When you sleep with your wife let be truly her your sleeping with and vise a versa. Destroy strongholds in your imagination that is preventing you from hosting the glory of God. “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.” Eph. 5:25,26. Jesus is cleansing His bride!

“Father of light, wash us in the water of your word! Sanctify us for your purposes! Fill us with your truth! En el nombre Jesus! Amen!
