“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”

Philippians 2:10

The Greek word used here, πᾶς pâs Strong’s 3956 means;

each, every, any, all, the whole, everyone, all things, everything. Every knee shall bow to the King of Kings. His name is powerful!

It’s the only name men can be saved by; “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 KJV

The name of Jesus is not just a word we speak—it is a name filled with authority, victory, and divine power. Heaven honors it. Earth responds to it. Even the realm of darkness must submit to it. Miracles happen in His name! Deliverance happens in His name! Dead things come alive in His name! Every knee bowing is not a suggestion; it is a declaration of Christ’s supreme rule over all creation.

The enemy trembles at that name because it reminds him of the cross and his defeat. I was doing a deliverance when the evil spirit spoke up and said he was afraid. I said “what are you afraid of”? He replied “my fate”. Satan knows he is facing a final fate. We all should think about that. It is real, we will stand before God at some point. I pray it is with robes washed white in the blood of Jesus.

In moments of trouble, remember you are never powerless. You carry the name above every name on your lips and in your heart. Call on Jesus. Trust in Jesus. Stand in the authority of Jesus. One day, every knee will bow openly—but today, we bow willingly, worshiping the One whose name reigns forever.

What a powerful God we serve!

Darkness trembles at the name of Jesus!

“Father we thank you for Jesus. We thank you for the cross. We honor the powerful name above all names, Jesus!“
