“And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Mark 1:40

I love this passage and have used it before in my writings simply to help someone to understand a massive hurdle that so many struggle with. The Will of God. Many Christians believe God can but most struggle with “If you will.” Is it the will of God to be made whole? Is the “Will” of God to be healed. I know we should be passed this by now theologically, but many struggle with the idea of self worth or deserving of pain. Jesus crushes these satanic born arguments that go on in your head with these two words… “I Will.” (vs. 41). This of one of the greatest interactions in the Bible that demonstrates the “Will” of God to heal the desperate soul. The man’s history was not brought into account only the compassion and willingness of the Savior. The enemy of your soul wants to lock you in with the idea that you deserve what’s happening to you, that you somehow brought this on yourself. But Jesus being moved with compassion says, “I Will!” Jesus is going to reveal the Father’s heart of compassion in this season. The Father is going to cleanse you, heal you, save you and make you whole in Jesus name. The accuser is going to whisper accusations because that is what he does,,, BUT JESUS is going to show His Willingness to heal cause of his love and compassion.

“Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.” Mark 1:41-42 -Pastor Rusty
