Thronos

“And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.” Rev. 4:4 KJV

I love the KJV Bible, but in in this particular passage it doesn’t do justice to what the Greek text is actually telling us. Practically every other translation gets this right except the KJV.🤔 I know! I’m as amazed as you. The problem is the Greek word being translated for “seats” is the same Greek word being translated for “throne”. It is in fact the Greek word “thronos” and the text should read like this. “Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.” Rev. 4:4 ESV. You say, “What’s the difference?” The difference is that you’re to be seated in Authority! Not comfort. Secondly, the setting is the “Throne Room”. This is a “Throne room” experience. You wear a crown, not as ornamental, but as one divinely empowered.

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” Eph. 2:6

Your seat of authority is in the heavenly places where Christ, himself, is also seated. Your authority is not in your title, (pastor, prophet, apostle, bishop) but your authority is in being seated with Christ in the heavenly places🤔, where your true position of authority is!

“Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.” Rev. 3:21. Wow! What an invitation! Trust me when I say there is a direct correlation to your ability to be seated in heavenly places and your prayer life. The early church was prayer conditioned, where as the modern church is air conditioned.🤔 There can be No Substitute for sitting in your seat of authority in the heavenly realm. No school, training, or academics can offer a suitable replacement. I believe your seat of authority is tailored for you. I am also convinced there is a lot of empty seats in heaven 🧐 where believers have never ascended to be seated. But God is restoring power structure to His house. Believers are waking up and “ascending”. They are breathing the atmosphere of the throne room. Once that takes place there is no turning back! You can never be content to going back to liturgy and rituals that have no power.

“ Heavenly Father, raise up an army that are seated with you like knights of the round table. Raise up men and women that are privy to council from the war room of heaven. That they may hear unspeakable things being said in heavens council. And let us breath the atmosphere of the throne room. In Jesus name! Amen!” Pastor Rusty
