True Worshipers

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” Jn. 4:23

Jesus heralded the arrival of “the True Worshipers.” He said the hour was coming… and now is already here when the “True Worshipers” would worship. Ask yourself, “Am I a true worshiper?” “What criteria qualifies a True Worshiper?” “Does my offering fit the criteria?”🤔

“Is this even important?” “Isn’t my service enough?” “Doesn’t service qualify as worship?” “Isn’t my service a biblical equivalent?” Let’s see.🧐

“Then I bowed low and worshiped the LORD. I praised the LORD, the God of my master, Abraham, because he had led me straight to my master’s niece to be his son’s wife.” Gen. 24.48.

“Ezra praised the LORD, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.” NEh. 8:6

Instead of looking for a substitute for worship, one is better served by finding out what constitutes “True Worship” in “Spirit and in Truth”… for which there is no substitute. The attitude that He (God) will take what I offer is NOT true when He (God) has already set the standard by which all worship is measured. Think about it and begin to wonder if your theological pursuits have caused you to major in the minors and minor in the majors. In other words keep the main thing the main thing. “God is Spirit and they that worship Him must worship in Spirit and in truth.” Jn. 4:24

“We're here to be worshippers first and workers only second. We take a convert and immediately make a worker out of him. God never meant it to be so. God meant that a convert should learn to be a worshiper, and after that he can learn to be a worker...The work done by a worshiper will have eternity in it.”
