Unified Force

- Pastor Rusty- Dec. 29, 2023

“And Zilpah Leah’s maid bare Jacob a son. And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.” Gen. 30:10-11

The first born of Leah’s surrogate sons that she gave her husband Jacob was Gad. Gad represents one of twelve sons born to Jacob via his two wives and two concubines. Gad’s name translates two ways, one is that it means “good fortune”. The other means a “troop”. That is because of the root to the Hebrew word “Gad” is “גּוּד” “guwd” which means attack! A troop is a unified force! A group that is a force to be reckoned with. There are unified forces that are being birthed in this season all over the country. But I’ve encountered none like the unified force right here in the Ozarks. It is a prayer core that more and more are taking “airborne training” and more and more are a force to be reckoned with. If you are of a lone wolf mentality and “I’m the only one” mindset then this is not for you. The Lord of hosts is training us to function like a unit. Like that scene from the movie “Gladiator” where Maximus tells the other gladiators, “Whatever comes out of these gaits, we have a better chance for survival if we work together.” So they built a shielded wall and won! The troop is a group that is trained to fight as one! Let us pray the prayer of Jesus. “I am not praying only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe in me through their testimony, that they will all be ONE, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me. The glory you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be ONE just as we are ONE – I in them and you in me – that they may be completely ONE, so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.” John 17:20-23 Blessings, Pastor Rusty❤️‍🔥
