Thanksgiving in my opinion may be the purest of the big three religious Holidays celebrated predominately in Christian cultures. Christmas and Easter being the other two. Without a doubt there have been corrupting influences on both of the other two holidays, Thanksgiving remains the least secularly influenced. It is simple and profound in its origin and construct. A day set aside (at the end of harvest) to give thanks for the harvest and the previous years blessings. It highlights the importance of the giving of thanks. This is a massive missing ingredient in our modern worship as well as our prayers. It’s like salt missing from the offerings. “Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.” Lev.2:13.

Thanksgiving will give you access to His courts. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psa. 100:4

Every truly successful pray life incorporates the giving of thanks as a mandate from heaven. It is a prerequisite for a happy successful prayer life. It’s like the missing ingredient in many a petition. 🤔 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Phil. 4:6.

“Holy Father, give your bride a thankful heart.❤️ A heart filled with gratitude. Cause us to say, “We are grateful, thankful, and blessed!” In Jesus name, AMEN!
