I believe everyone has had to deal with a spirit of fear at some point or another. Some find it as a small interaction while others have to fight it daily. We have dealt with those who were so bound by fear that leaving their own house was impossible. Fear would grip them and it became easier to give in than to fight and resist. This made doing anything outside of their home a major task.
Just this past week I had to have an MRI on my hand. I wasn’t afraid of the idea. There was no fear with doing it. As they prepared me to begin I was at peace. As the MRI began I heard voices. The voice said “you can’t breathe. Feel that, you can’t breathe!” As I heard this I knew it was fear. I knew it was trying to cause me to give in to the idea that I couldn’t breathe. I began quoting scripture. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lay down in green pastures.” I notice that the feeling backed off. The thoughts from fear weakened. Then as I relaxed here it came again saying, “Feel it closing in? Panic is fixing to start. You are going to panic. You do this.” And again scripture and praise began flowing out of my belly so fast I was amazed at it! My spirit man was ready to fight fear and put it back in its place! Fear retreated and left. I fell asleep in the MRI machine! I could picture the spirit of fear continually standing in that room ready to bring fear on any and all who entered there. Fear is defeated when the word of God is activated! Fear must go! No matter how fear is causing you pain and loss of peace you can defeat him! You can have peace even in an MRI machine! Rise up and use the power that Jesus gave you! Rebuke fear and command it to leave and it must go! The blood of Jesus has provided the needed power to free you. “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV
Peace is yours for the taking. Let me pray over you. “ Fear I address you in the name of Jesus! I command you to go! I bind you and every tentacle of you from working in my life. I am free from you in Jesus name! Go! Father I ask for peace to come and fill me. Holy Spirit, bring comfort right now. In Jesus name! Amen!”
