ā€œHe said to them, ā€˜But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ā€˜You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.ā€™ā€ — Matthew 16:15–16, NET

There comes a moment in every believer’s life when Jesus’ question becomes deeply personal—not just something to study, not just something to discuss in church, but something that pierces the heart. ā€œWho do you say that I am?ā€

ā€œYou are the Christ, the Son of the living God,ā€ Peter answered Jesus. He didn’t call Jesus a teacher, a prophet, or a miracle-worker. He declared Him to be the promised Messiah—the very Son of the living God—God in the flesh, Lord over all.

But Jesus’ question doesn’t stop at our lips; it continues into our lives.

Does your life say He is Lord?

Words can be spoken quickly, but the true confession of our heart is revealed in the daily choices we make. Is He Lord in your priorities? Your schedule? Your decisions? Your relationships? Your thoughts? Your obedience?

Does your life show Him honor and respect as Lord?

We honor Him not only with praise but with surrender. We respect Him not only with worship but with willingness. A life that truly knows who Jesus is becomes a life shaped by His presence, guided by His Word, and softened by His love.

When we truly know who He is—not just know about Him, but know Him—our life becomes a testimony that pleases Him.

It shows up in humility.

It shows up in obedience.

It shows up in how we treat people.

It shows up in how quickly we turn to Him… and how slowly we turn away.

Peter’s revelation changed him. Your revelation of Christ will change you too.

When Jesus is truly Lord in your heart, it cannot stay hidden—it shows in the fruit, in the character, in the glow of a surrendered life.

So who do you say that He is? Is He Lord of all?
