Who is in Heaven

“No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.” John 3:13

I love this passage simply because it makes some scratch their head and ask, “What’d He say?”

It’s not the content of what He said that is confusing, it’s the context of what He said that is confusing. Now in fairness some of you are seeing this for the first time. That is because many of the newer translations omit the phrase, “Who is in heaven.” They don’t omit it out because they don’t understand what Jesus is saying… they omit it because they are translating from different Greek manuscripts that don’t include this phrase.🤔 Now understand this text is NOT asking a question as to who is in heaven. The word is simply stating that Jesus functions from the position of being in heaven.🧐 He is in the world but not of the world. (Jn 17:14-16). His expectation for His bride is to be like Him. You were not born of corruptible seed but of incorruptible. “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Pet. 1:23. You were born From above! (Jn 3:7). And you are seated with him in heavenly places. ( Eph. 2:6). You are to be in the world and not of the world. Like Jesus you too CAN Function from the heavenly realm. The church is very prone to function from the trenches, the terrestrial instead of functioning from the celestial. But in any modern warfare the one who gets airborne and takes over the skies wins! All modern wars since the turn of the last century have overcome because of they took over the aerial conflict. Functioning in heaven is paramount to success for the bride. So instead of treating John 3:13 like a misprint… let us come to terms with the art of ministering from heaven!🤔
