God Makes Broken Things New!

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

—2 Corinthians 5:17

We live in a world where brokenness touches every life. Sometimes it comes through poor choices, sometimes through circumstances outside of our control, and sometimes through the wounds others have caused. Brokenness often leaves us feeling disqualified, overlooked, or beyond repair. But God never sees brokenness as the final chapter.

With Jesus brokenness is not the end—it’s the beginning of something new. When God takes a shattered vessel and breathes His Spirit into it, He doesn’t just patch up the cracks. He creates something new, beautiful, and useful for His purposes, like the the potter in Jeremiah 18:4: “But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.” Our lives in His hands are never wasted. Even if we feel like shattered pieces, the Potter is faithful to reshape us into something that reflects His glory all we have to do is surrender to him. Give him all of you, every broken piece.

Let me pray for you. Lord, thank You that You are the God who makes all things new. Where I see brokenness, You see potential. Where I feel hopeless, You speak life. Take the pieces of my life and shape them into something that glorifies You. I trust Your hands, and I surrender myself to Your work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
