“Arise, shine, for your light has come,

and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,

and thick darkness the peoples;

but the LORD will arise upon you,

and his glory will be seen upon you.

And nations shall come to your light,

and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Lift up your eyes all around and see;

they all gather together, they come to you;

your sons shall come from afar,

and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.

Then you shall see and be radiant;

your heart shall thrill and exult,

because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,

the wealth of the nations shall come to you.” Isa. 60:1-5

This is a now word and a prophetic statement for this season. He’s telling you to rise up and He’s telling you to shine for the Glory of the LORD (YHWH) has risen upon you.

The brightness of His glory is contrast with the gross darkness that covers the earth. But then there is this conjunction…🧐 … BUT! But the LORD shall rise upon YOU! The answer to all ills. The LORD shall rise upon you and His glory will be seen upon you. This the “cause and effect” clause in the prophetic promise.🤔

1. The nations will be drawn to you.

2. Kings will be drawn to you.

3. Your sons will return from afar! Yay!

4. Your daughters will be carried to you!

5. The wealth of the nations shall come to you.

All this when you see the glory of the LORD rise upon you. Come Glory, Come!

“Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” Tit.2:13 ESV. A few translations render this passage, “the glory of his appearing.” I like the ESV that says, “The appearing of his glory.” There is a coming glory. Albeit it has already began.
