- Part 4 on How to Experience His Presence - Pastor Belinda 🌷- July 30th, 2026
We have been talking about how to experience God's presence. This is something that a lot of Christians do know how to do. Surprising that as a church we have left out "how do we experience Him". Let's look at obedience today. If you have missed the past 3 parts you might enjoy going back and viewing them.
Let's jump in, Jesus made a remarkable promise in John 14:23: “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” (KJV)
Obedience is not about earning God’s love—it is the evidence of our love for Him. When we choose to obey His Word, we open our hearts to a deeper fellowship with the Father and the Son. Jesus promised that those who love Him and keep His commandments will experience His abiding presence in a personal and intimate way.
God’s presence is not reserved for the perfect but for those whose hearts are surrendered. There's that word again, "surrendered". You would be amazed at what God will do when you surrender ALL to Him. Every act of obedience says, “Lord, I trust You more than my own understanding.” In that place of surrender, His peace, joy, and nearness become a living reality.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit if there is an area where He is calling you to obey. As you respond with a willing heart, expect to experience the sweet fellowship of His presence. Obedience maybe Him asking you to forgive someone. It maybe you telling someone that Jesus loves them. It could be numerous things but the key is obedience. When you are obedient it shows Him that you mean business. That He is Lord of your life.
Let's pray:
Jesus, help me to love You by obeying Your Word. Let my life be marked by surrender, and may Your presence continually abide with me. Draw me into deeper fellowship with You each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
