Prayer Assignments

“Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” Acts 9:10-12

One of the unsung heroes of the Bible was a man named Ananias. He was not remembered for great sermons or for being an apostle of the faith. He simply received a prophetic assignment that is canonized in scripture as one of the most amazing Holy Ghost transactions in recorded history. Most Christians in the modern church have no relation to receiving a prayer assignment from the Lord. But God is going to cause many in the prayer culture to receive such assignments. This simple interaction is how the Kingdom of God functions on earth… by faith believers receiving assignments from the Lord. Prayer is a means of opening communication with the Lord that is a two way transmission that includes both transmitting and receiving information. The God of heaven will cause you to hear as well as speak. To hear is the the first command in Hebrew culture (Duet. 6:4)

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One.”

The word “hear” is translated from the Hebrew word “shama” which probably more accurately would mean to Harken! It means to hear with an implication to obey.🤔

In this season learn to harken to His voice as the Lord gives you a prayer assignment (an assignment that is received through prayer). And may the Lord increase the influence of His kingdom on earth. Amen!
