- How to Experience His Presence Part 9 - Pastor Belinda🔥- Aug. 17th, 2026
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise…” — Psalm 100:4 KJV
Thanksgiving is more than simply saying “thank You.” It is a posture of the heart that turns our attention away from ourselves and toward God. It opens a path very similar to worship.
When we give thanks, we begin to recognize His goodness, His faithfulness, His mercy, and His presence. Gratitude changes our perspective. Instead of focusing on what we lack, what troubles us, or what we cannot control, thanksgiving reminds us of who God is and all that He has already done.
Thanksgiving positions our hearts for His presence.
Psalm 100:4 shows us that thanksgiving is connected with entering into the presence of God. As we come before Him with a grateful heart, our hearts become open and receptive to Him.
Praise lifts our eyes, while thanksgiving softens our hearts.
Sometimes we are looking for God to move, when He is simply inviting us to draw near. Thanksgiving is one way we draw near. We lay down our requests for our needs and turn our hearts to a place of thanking Him for His provision, His protection, His breath that is in our bodies. Remember, He breathed into Adam. Every breath you take is because there is a God.
Today, pause and thank Him—not only for what He has done, but for who He is. Thank Him for His faithfulness, His goodness, His mercy, and His unfailing love.
Let thanksgiving shift your focus from yourself to God. Open your heart, draw near, and position yourself to experience His presence.
