“At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” Matt. 11:25-27
I guess I’ve seen this to be true for awhile and It was there to be seen how that Jesus would move out of prophetic declaration and into prayer and then back into instruction. He would be speaking lateral in one minute and then speak vertical for a bit and then flow back into lateral speaking. We have seen this in the prayer movement for quite awhile and now it flows naturally in every engagement including the pulpit. It may frustrate some in church paradigm when this happens but for those of us in the prayer movement it is quite natural. It is a heavenly design, and it is in concert with the Holy Sprit’s activity. Since there isn’t a term for this let us call it prayer/speak. 🤔 (In astronomy if you find it you get to name it.) It is common in the prayer core of the Ozark’s. It is a life giving stream that flows from the believer. One of the most prominent examples is Jesus himself in the passage above where He makes a prophetic decree about Chorizen and Bethsaida and then flows into vertical talk (prayer) to the Father and then flows back into prophetic instruction and then prophetic invitation. 🧐 Let all your speaking begin to be seasoned with prayer. Like seasoning salt adding flavor. As Charles G. Davis says, “Turn it into a prayer!”.
“Father, help us turn our lateral teaching and speaking into vertical petition and decree. Help us to Speak prophetically and pray prophetically all in the same breath. In Jesus name… amen!”
