Part 1 - Aug 18, 2025 - of 7-part series on “Removing the Small Things”
This series was inspired by something that happened recently. I had met at my office with a spiritual daughter. When she went to leave she mentioned that her car had been acting up. She said “ there’s this one little tiny wire that keeps coming loose and that tiny wire keeps the whole car from working!” I said it’s the same with us, we can’t expect to grow and move forward if that one little tiny thing is in the way. We must fix it, remove it from being between us and what God has for us. As long as it is there, don’t expect to advance. Deal with it. Ask God to take it. That is how this whole 7 part series was birthed. May it help you grow deeper in the Lord. I pray it brings freedom in areas you haven’t released. - Pastor Belinda🌷
Part 1: Search My Heart
“Search me, God, and know my heart; Put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.” — Psalm 139:23–24, NASB
Our journey begins with openness before God. Sometimes we aren’t even aware of the small things—resentment, pride, envy, in-forgiveness —that are holding us back. Inviting God to search our hearts allows Him to gently uncover and remove what hinders.
Many times I have dealt with people who have kept a room in their heart closed with a prisoner locked inside. Someone they have been hurt by, or abused by locked up tight inside. We have seen demonic attachments to that bitterness. As long as you hold that inside the demons have a legal right to abide. If you want total freedom in your walk with the Lord you must “let them go” into God’s hands. He will hold the responsible. Better than you ever can.
I want you to walk in His fullness, take the step, ask Jesus for help.
Let me pray with you.
Lord, search me and reveal anything hidden in me that keeps me from walking closely with You. Lead me in Your ways. Take those I have in-forgiveness toward and help me forgive. In Jesus name. Amen.
May God help you and keep you. May He show you freedom as you release those you have held locked in your heart.
