Teach us to Pray

Now Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he stopped, one of his disciples said to him, “ Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1

The disciples were prone to ask the wrong questions, such as, “who shall be greatest?” or “Will you at this time restore the kingdom?” But when they asked Jesus to teach them to pray they struck a cord with him. He taught them to pray the model kingdom prayer. Prayer is the language of the kingdom and prayer in faith is its currency. You can exist in the Church without it but you cannot be successful in the kingdom without it. So lets ask the greatest teacher of all time, “Lord teach us to pray.”

As always, God bless and keep you.
