The Body -

“Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,

but a body have you prepared for me;

In burnt offerings and sin offerings

you have taken no pleasure.

Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,

as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’” Heb. 10:5-7

According to Hebrews chapter 10:5-7, The Father gave the Son a body for the purpose of using it to offer the perfect sacrifice. God the Father was going to address the sin problem Himself by offering His son in human form. Selah!

How amazing is God in infinite wisdom to bridge the gap Himself by causing the Son to take on flesh and blood for the purpose of sacrifice and ending the reign of sin! He Created a pathway of forgiveness for humanity to come to the cross of Christ for forgiveness of sin.🤔

“But emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Phil. 2:7-8

He took on human form to become a “living sacrifice Holy and acceptable unto God.” So the next time you take communion and you Bless and break the bread… Say, “This is my body which is broken for you!” And value the sacrifice of the Son of God that has been made on our behalf. Amen! Pastor Rusty
