A testimony is not merely a story; it’s a living declaration of God’s power. When we share what the Lord has done for us, faith is ignited in the hearts of those who hear. The same God who worked in us can work in them.

Your Testimony Reveals God’s Power

“The man went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him, and all were amazed.”

— Mark 5:20 (NET)

When Jesus delivered the man possessed by many demons, He told him to go and tell others. The man’s testimony caused amazement—people saw God’s transforming power in a life once broken.

Your story is proof that God is still moving. It shows that He is not distant but personal, powerful, and present.

Tell others what God has done for you. Your testimony might be the seed that awakens someone’s faith to believe God can do the same for them.

Your Testimony Confirms God’s Word

“Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the report of the woman who testified, ‘He told me everything I ever did.’”

The woman at the well didn’t have theological training; she had a personal encounter. Her simple testimony—“He told me everything I ever did”—brought an entire town to Jesus.

When people see the truth of Scripture lived out in your life, it validates the Word of God in real time.

When you share how God healed, saved, restored, or delivered you, it makes the written Word come alive to those listening.

Your Testimony Produces Faith in Others

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Faith begins when someone hears the Word—but your testimony is often the gateway that opens their ears to receive it.

When you speak of what Jesus has done, you’re echoing the Word of Christ in a personal way that people can relate to.

Paul often shared his own conversion story (Acts 22, Acts 26), not just to glorify God, but to stir faith in others that if God could change him, He could change anyone.

Never underestimate the power of your story. Someone’s belief may depend on your boldness to speak.

Lord, help us share our testimony! Bring people into our path that need to hear it. Even if we are nervous give us strength in Jesus name! Amen!
