“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” — 1 John 2:20 (KJV)

The unction of the Holy Spirit is the inner prompting that empowers believers to act, speak, and move under divine influence. It is more than emotion—it is Heaven’s signal to release something God has placed within you.

When you yield to that inner stirring, your sound becomes charged with God’s power. It is not by might or by eloquence, but by the Spirit.

Strong’s Word Study:

• Unction — χρῖσμα (chrisma, G5545): The anointing or endowment of the Holy Spirit.

• Know — οἶδα (oida, G1492): To perceive or understand by divine insight, not natural learning.

That unction can be felt when God wants you to do something. It can be ignored and pushed aside thru disobedience. But let me warn you if you do so God will stop prompting you. All unctions will come to a stop. With that said, let me encourage you to be willing, be usable.

This goes right along with releasing the sound. You feel the urge to release a sound, the unction is there, do you obey or subdue? If you want to walk where I am leading you to you must be obedient to the unction. The unction is always subject to the person. It is not disobedience to hold your sound until it is appropriate. There is order. "the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets" (1 Corinthians 14:32) God will make a time for you to release that sound. Be patient, timing is important.

Father, I ask that you point out and highlight the unction you give us when we are suppose to release a sound. Help us to know how to flow with the unction of the Holy Spirit. Let us release the sound of heaven!
