How to experience the presence of God Part 7 - Pastor Belinda🌷 - Aug. 10th, 2026

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity… for there the LORD commanded the blessing.”

— Psalm 133:1, 3 KJV

God places great value on unity among His people. Unity is more than simply being in the same room—it is having hearts that are surrendered to the same Lord, moving together in love, humility, and purpose. Unity produces an atmosphere that His presence can function in.

Before the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, “They were all with one accord in one place.” — Acts 2:1 KJV. Notice the connection: one accord came before the outpouring. They were different people with different personalities, but they were united around Jesus and His promise. Their unity created an atmosphere of expectation for the presence and power of God.

When we function in unity, we make room for God to move among us. Unity removes division, offense, competition, and self-centeredness and replaces them with love, honor, forgiveness, and a shared pursuit of His presence.

Unity doesn’t make God present—He is already present. But unity positions our hearts to recognize, receive, and participate in what He is doing.

Where hearts come together in one accord, worship becomes deeper, prayer becomes stronger, and the presence of God becomes more tangible.

“For there the LORD commanded the blessing.”

Ask the Lord: “Is there anything in my heart that is hindering unity?” Lay down offense. Choose forgiveness. Honor your brothers and sisters. Pursue peace.

When His people come together in one heart and one purpose, there is an atmosphere where His presence can be welcomed and His Spirit can move freely. That is our goal. We want to cultivate an atmosphere where He longs to dwell.

Let's pray: Lord, make us one. Remove every spirit of division, offense, and self-interest from among us. Give us one heart, one mind, and one purpose—to know You, love You, and glorify You. Let our unity become an atmosphere where Your presence is welcomed and Your Spirit is poured out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
